<p><strong>In the kitchen AND at the gym! </strong>There is this saying that is circulating that abs are made in the kitchen.  I can agree to that to some extent, but you still have to clock in some gym time too.  You see abs are like every other muscle in your body.  You already have the muscles, you just have to lose the layers on top so that they can really show through.  Some people seem to think that crunch after crunch and sit up after sit up will guarantee abs that peek through, but that is not the case.  If you are looking to get a six pack or just some nice abdominal definition, you will need to follow a routine that includes the kitchen and the gym.<span id="more-121"></span></p>
<p><strong>In the kitchen:</strong></p>
<p>Your diet has a whole lot to do with how your body looks.  I hate to tell you, but it is the truth, you pretty much are what you eat.  Healthy lean meats and veggies should be the main staples in your diet.  White carbohydrates are a definite no-no as they help keep the pounds on.  A couple of servings of fruit can be beneficial especially before workouts with a protein.  And skim dairy in moderation.  Try to break up your meals into five to six smaller portions and you will feel full all day and stay energized for your workouts.</p>
<p><strong>In the gym (or at home, wherever!):</strong></p>
<p>So you are eating healthy and keeping enough food in your diet to keep your energy up for some workouts right?  Well, let&#8217;s make some abs show then!  Cardio is one of the most important aspects of lowering your body fat percentage and getting a body with definition.  But doing just cardio alone is not going to give you those awesome results you are looking for.  Make sure to incorporate strength training into your exercise routine at least three times a week.  When you build up your muscle you burn more fat.  Awesome, right? Keep in mind that you don&#8217;t have to spend lots of money on a gym membership to stay in shape, either! <p>So do not believe that all you have to do is eat right to sculpt a lean and defined body with abs, because you do have to put in some hard work to get it.  The good news is that you can reach definitely reach your goals and look how you have always wanted.  Just remember eating right and working hard need to be done in conjunction with one another to really make it happen.</p>

This is often said to illustrate how the mind works. Our unconscious requires a different type of management than our conscious. Most don&#8217;t even bother with it. However there is a process that influences the way you act and think.</p>
<p>Now let&#8217;s think of dieting. That calls cutting down on food, certain kinds of food, probably the kind you liked the most, right?  Go back to that pink elephant principle. Dieting works on the same principle. You decide to diet, you decide to definitely not eat certain foods. You are going to lose definitely, definitely going to lose.</p>
<p>What do you think about all day long? You got it, you think of foods you don&#8217;t want to eat. The foods you love. You find yourself rationalizing, “I will eat a fourth of a Hershey bar at the end of the day.&#8221; You think of it all day long then give up and eat that fourth earlier. When evening arrives you eat another fourth. Then there is just half left. You eat the last half, telling yourself you will start the diet the next day.</p>
<p>This is the way our unconscious mind works. Think of managing the unconscious mind as you would a child; you redirect it. You give it something else to think and do. Losing a pound a week is a reasonable way to lose. If you haven’t noticed yet, you will soon, you are not as hungry and your cravings are less. Your body is slowly adjusting.</p>
<p>Fast weight loss is not good for your health. Few of us know what goes on when we diet. Internal systems click in to adjust to a new eating regime when needed nutrition is not met.</p>
<p>Don’t do this to your health. You need those systems operating twenty four hours a day. Your body depends on you to feed it the amount and what it needs. Eat a lot of raw vegetables and fruit and avoid enriched flour. Make sure you are getting a lot of Vitamin B. Eat rye bread to help with food cravings. Make good health your priority rather than a starvation, fasting, and quick weight loss.</p>

There a three basic facts when it comes to losing weight and getting healthier that is doing exercise regularly, dieting, and choosing a routine that a person can follow.</p>
<p>Doing exercise regularly should be the first step into becoming healthier and leaner in you plan of action. There are a lot of benefits when a person does exercise at least three to five times per week. If a person has never exercise he or she needs to visit a physician for permission before starting any exercise program. Walking is a great way to start exercising. To start any fitness endeavor a person will need the gear that will help him or her avoid injury. For example if lady starts to walk for fitness she might need to buy a good pair of walking sneakers, and fitness clothing these wills allow her skin to breathe. A more popular way to get in shape is to go to a gym. If someone has never been to a gym to exercise they need a personal trainer to help them choose the right equipment for what they are trying to accomplish, and give them advice on how to use such equipment. No exercise program is complete until it is accompanied by a diet.</p>
<p>Some people see the word Diet and their mind thinks of starving themselves. This association needs to change. People need to know that dieting does not mean starvation it means choosing the best foods that your body can metabolized. Most people tend to eat them because they are very available and easy to do, but those foods do some major damage to the body. It is better to chose foods that are natural in origin as much as possible. A good rule to follow is if it grows and if it breathes it is probably good for the person. Beef, Pork, Chicken, Fish, raw vegetables, fruits, raw milk, honey, these are a few of the items that are natural in origin and that your body can quickly metabolize. Avoid high fructose syrup, refined sugar, any product with chemicals difficult to pronounce. Individuals need to make sure to change their dieting to become your way of life.</p>
<p>The last step is a person must chose a routine that they can stick with. People need to be realistic on what they can or cannot do. If a guy works in a construction site and most of his buddies eat of a food truck and the food is junk his plan should involved packing his lunch every day. I a person might work the whole day and it is difficult for him or her to drive up to a gym, then he or she might need to create a home gym or just go outside to walk or run. People need to plan their diet or exercise to have results that last. A person can make it fun might just by getting involved in a sport he or she might like this will not only get you fit but can also free you from stress.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a worthy goal. Everyone has their issues. For some, trying to lose weight is a never ending battle. Better still, it is an all out war. People can make weight loss goals and even join a fitness center. At the end of a stressful day, some of these same people find themselves eating a big bowl of chocolate ice-cream. Does this make logical sense? Why waste all of that time, effort, and money only to throw it all away on a chocolate addiction? A show of hands of how many people really do this would be like a giant wave reaction at a sold out concert. Thanks to some enlisted trained mice, we can now blame our weight problems on the Ghrelin.<br />
Seriously, some findings from a UT South Western Medical Center-led study say exactly that. Basically, the results of the study show that stressed out mice get obese. There is a lot of medical terms to define the study. To shorten this, there is a &#8220;hunger hormone,&#8221; called ghrelin, which can be stimulated in our digestive system after a fast. This hormone has a part in sending information to our brains. There is an area in our brains that affect emotions along with pleasure and rewards behavior. This area of the brain is triggered which causes mice to purposely eat high calorie foods.</p>
<p>This is an important study find. The researchers believe that humans have the same reactions. This hormone could be an important key in understanding and possibly preventing obesity. There were two groups of mice in this study. One group were ordinary wild mice. The other group of mice were genetically engineered to not be affected by the rise or fall of the ghrelin hormone. All the mice were exposed to stressful situations. Bully type mice were introduced into the two groups, and the groups were closely watched.</p>
<p>Both groups of mice had been trained to head to a certain compartment that contained high calorie foods when under stress. It was found that the wild mice did tend to go to this compartment when showing signs of stress. These mice also overate these foods. The genetically engineered mice did not have the same reactions. Even when the genetically engineered mice were given high calorie foods after being exposed to stress, they did not overeat. Previous studies had shown that chronic stress also caused increased ghrelin levels. There were also increases in depression and anxiety type behaviors.</p>
<p>The results of these studies seem to indicate that humans may develop a tendency to turn to comfort foods when stressed. These foods are generally high in calories. This may help to explain the relationship between anxiety and depression, and the increase in certain behaviors which contribute to obesity. So ghrelin may be the cause of our late night attacks of potato chips and other fatty foods. Of course, the mice could conceivably be just bulking up, like inmates in a prison, readying for a fight.</p>
